What We're About
CreatingSMP is built on the Create mod — a mechanical engineering sandbox that turns Minecraft into a world of rotating shafts, conveyor belts, windmill-powered factories, and elaborate automated farms. Every machine you see was built by a real player. Nothing is spawned in.
Mechanical power, rotation networks, fluid transport, and everything in between. If you can imagine it, you can build it with shafts and cogwheels.
A dedicated add-on brings a full arsenal to the server — firearms, ranged gadgets, and tactical gear. Exploration has teeth here.
Explore a massive worldgen overhaul with 100+ new biomes — from Crystal Caves to Volcanic Peaks, Skylands, and Redwood Woods.
Carefully selected Create add-ons extend the factory floor. Trains, contraption weapons, steam engines, and more all slot seamlessly into the base experience.
An SMP means real players, real builds, real economies. Trade resources, collaborate on megaprojects, or compete to build the most efficient factory.
There's no prescribed path. Want to build an automated brewery? A flying airship? A fully mechanical sorting system? This server hands you the tools.
World Generation
The overworld has been rebuilt from the ground up. These aren't vanilla biomes with a palette swap — every category below is a different flavor of terrain, from volcanic peaks to floating skylands to caverns deep underground.
The Founder
I'm the founder and developer behind CreatingSMP — a California-based (kinda german) creator, modder, and developer who's been building things in Minecraft long before contraptions were cool. The server isn't just a hobby project; it's a carefully crafted world built on years of technical experience (and an unhealthy number of hours spent staring at gear ratios).
When I'm not managing the server, you'll find me building mods, publishing Minecraft info content on TakoStreamYT, developing flight simulator aircraft add-ons, or doing something involving gear ratios and way too many cogwheels.
The idea behind the server is simple: give players the tools to be genuinely creative, then get out of the way. No linear quest lines, no hand-holding, no prescribed goal. Just a massive world, a powerful modpack, and the freedom to build whatever you can imagine.
I obsess over the details — the choice of add-ons, the biome generation, the balance between exploration and automation. Everything on the server is intentional. Except for the lag spikes. Those are just contraptions being contraptions.
I launched my YouTube channel covering general Minecraft info and content, building a community of viewers who love the game as much as I do.
I played and built on 3vb0, a parkour and civilization-style server, picking up early lessons in server communities and collaborative building long before CreatingSMP existed.
I started modding Minecraft with Forge, writing custom blocks, items, and eventually full systems with thousands of lines of Java.
I found the Create mod and immediately knew it was the foundation for something special — a server built entirely around mechanical ingenuity.
I launched CreatingSMP with a hand-curated modpack, a giant custom world, and a community-first vision. The gears have been turning ever since.
